I’ve been with Brand J for nearly two years. I graduated college from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. I create and launch as well as update and maintain the franchise websites we host. 

What made you choose franchise web development for your career? 

I was continuing to grow my experience as a web developer when I started with the team at Brand J. It was the company’s history of experience, amazing team, and catalog of clients they worked with that ultimately led me to start my career in franchise web development.

Why is it important for brands to have a separate franchise development website? 

Audience is important. The audience for a consumer website is different from the audience of a franchise website. Being able to have content geared towards the target audience, including SEO best practices, will help those searching online to quickly get to the website they need to see and will help connect them to their next steps. So having a separate franchise website is key to providing that for those looking to become franchisees.

What are the opportunities in franchise web development right now?

Currently franchise web development can help brands grow recognition. However a franchise brand tells their story on the website through updates in web design or content, which can include updated photos and videos. Franchises that give priority to their websites being developed well and maintained help to make them remain a vital asset to the franchise brand.

What’s something you wish more clients knew about franchise web development?

I wish more clients knew that it’s ok to discuss options if they aren’t quite set on how to update a website. Franchise web development often requires custom updates or solutions. Our team can spend time reviewing the best options with them.

What is your ideal way to spend a weekend?

I like going to a local farmers market, there are several in Nashville that have a wonderful variety of local vendors. I also like discovering new streaming series or rewatching a favorite sci-fi show or movie. Star Wars is always a go-to option!

What are your favorite teams to cheer on? 

Go Sports! I tend to only pay attention when the Nashville hockey team reaches the playoffs.

What are 2-3 things others probably wouldn’t know about you or “fun facts”?

I like going to comic conventions! I’ve had my photo taken with some comic inspired media personalities including a cast member from Guardians of the Galaxy. 

I’ve visited the Mile 0 marker in Key West, Florida, there happens to be a fantastic ice cream shop not that far from it!
